O Concert &nbs p; 14 24.9 &nbs p; 18 – 3/8 10 & nbsp;13 – 1/2 4 – 1/4 These are the dimensions for a Martin 0, 14 Fret, Concert guitar. I'm looking for an accurate half tracing or whole tracing of the body. Can you help me out. I want to make a pattern for a very small body, thanks. |

I've got a 1947 0-18; currently it's at Mass Street Music where I'm going to be consigning it. I could ask them if they could do a trace. On edit: Geez, their description is great - maybe I should reconsider! Maybe you could blow up this picture to do a trace? |

Paddy, no, you're confused, that Stradivari Code. He made three guitars you know, maybe more. 
John, yessiree, that's a great looking guitar. And precisely what I need a tracing of for my next project. A half template or whole tracing is great. I like that guitar. Maybe one of our OLFers is in the mood for a little blues music.....? I'll try blowing it up. Thanks a million. |

Bruce, I think you might find that blowing up this particular image may not yield an accurate shape, due to the way the picture was taken. The camera was too close to the guitar, not on center, and looking down, so the CCD of the camera was not parallel to the top. The upper treble bout is closest to the camera, with the lower bass bout the furthest away. Martin's site has excellent photos in this respect. Whether they have an 0 size is another question. But then maybe you only need "close enough".

I have a 1940 0-18 in the shop right now, but if Russ already has patterns that may be easier. If you would like a tracing it may be easiest for me to take a head on photo and get the outline via photoshop. |

I tried using the photo above, but with my limited skills/software was unsuccessful. So Russell, David, I'm up for an alternative. Yeah Todd, John Hall does nice work. Russell Thanks, you are in England right? David is in Michigan. Makes sense to go with Michigan. Thank you very much, both of you. All I need is a tracing David. At my house when I get an interesting guitar, I drag out the white posterboard and trace away. When sharing, I simply take it to the copy place and slide a copy off the original. Bruce, I've got John Hall's O-12 fret mold and could make a tracing of it for you. Would the 12 fret work? |

Could I get that too Anthony. The 12 fret and 14 fret are actually longer and shorter versions of the same thing. And I know John has all the true Martin patternage. I just need a half template, if you're so inclined. Most appreciated. Back at ya if I can return the favor, plus, lemme send some postage. |

Thanks Serge. I've been out playing electrician all day, wiriing up a 50 Amp 220 GFCI on my bro-in-law's hot tub. Plus for the last couple weeks we've been helping my wife's neice establish residence in our fair city. She's all settled now. Hey John, David popped in, but I haven't heard yet, but I'll get back to ya. The scale length on the fourteen fret is 24.9". Not sure on the 12 fret that Anthony is sending, what is it Anthony? My chart says 24.9" on both. |

Yuppers 24.9". But I dont think its too critical meaning you could go 25.4" by adjusting the soundhole and bracing slightly. |
